We are seeking a highly skilled Software Tester with strong expertise in SQL to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of data-driven applications by performing detailed testing, executing SQL queries, and validating database operations. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, database management, and troubleshooting skills to support application development and deployment.

What should you bring along

• Design, develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for big data applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of big data applications.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate and analyze data integrity, consistency, and correctness.
• Identify, document, and report defects and inconsistencies in software applications.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure quality assurance.
• Automate test scripts for testing where applicable.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with best practices in data security, privacy, and performance optimization.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving application performance and usability.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends in database testing and software QA methodologies.

Must have technical skill

• Strong experience in SQL queries
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes .
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM.
• Good understanding of ETL testing and data validation techniques .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with big data testing, data warehousing, or cloud-based databases (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with API testing and automation frameworks.

Good to have technical skills

• Experience in automation testing using SQL-based tools is a plus.
• Knowledge on Performance testing.
