SOC Analyst

Threat Detection and Analysis:

Monitor security alerts and events, analyze and determine the severity of the threat.
Investigate and analyze security incidents to identify the root cause and extent of the breach.
Incident Response:

Develop and execute appropriate incident response plans and strategies.
Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate threats effectively.
Security Tools Management:

Manage and configure security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System), and endpoint security solutions.
Stay updated with the latest security technologies and industry best practices.
Threat Intelligence:

Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
Utilize threat intelligence sources to enhance the security posture of the organization.
Policy and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
Participate in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of security events, incidents, and their resolution.
Generate regular reports for management, outlining the overall security status, incidents, and trends.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions for junior SOC analysts.
Stay updated with emerging threats and vulnerabilities and share knowledge with the team.
Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with IT teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to resolve security vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners during security incidents.
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC certifications are highly desirable.
Proven experience working in a SOC environment, preferably in a Level 3 role.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, protocols, and technologies.
Experience with various security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and respond to security incidents swiftly.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple incidents simultaneously.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security best practices.
