Sr. Salesforce Release Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Configure and customize Copado to fit our release management process, including setting up branches, pipelines, and deployment templates.
• Integrate Copado with tools like Salesforce DX, CodeScan, and PMD to improve our release and deployment workflows.
• Help automate build and deployment tasks to make the release pipeline more efficient.
• Set up and manage Git for version control and ensure branching and merging strategies are followed to keep code organized.
• Write automation scripts using JavaScript, Python, and Bash to help with deployments.
• Create training materials and run sessions to teach teams how to use Copado effectively.
• Set up processes to manage changes and ensure smooth transitions when deploying with Copado.
• Implement security measures in Copado to protect sensitive information.
• Monitor how well our release processes are working and create reports to track performance.
• Work closely with different teams to understand their release needs and timelines.
• Manage Salesforce deployments, including customizations and CPQ data, to ensure updates happen smoothly.
• Look for ways to improve how we use Copado and implement best practices in managing code and configurations.

Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience using Copado in Salesforce environments and knows how to handle Salesforce metadata and CPQ data deployments.
• Comfortable working with Git, CICD, binary trees, and sorted arrays within Copado.
• Knows how to set up Salesforce DX and integrate it with other tools to streamline the release process.
• Has experience automating tasks with scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, and Bash.
• Can troubleshoot problems and find solutions in the Copado environment.
• Can work with and manage CI/CD processes to ensure smooth deployments.
• Can create clear documentation and provide training to team members.
• Has a solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, especially with CPQ data.
• Salesforce and Copado certifications are a bonus.
