BI Architect

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Architect to join our dynamic team. The BI Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing BI solutions that drive business insights and support data-driven decision-making processes. This individual will work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, and IT teams, to architect, develop, and maintain BI platforms, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect BI Solutions: Design and develop robust BI architecture and frameworks, ensuring scalability, security, and data integrity.
• Data Integration: Oversee the integration of multiple data sources, ensuring accurate and timely data collection, processing, and reporting.
• Analytics and Reporting: Design and build interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
• Data Modeling: Develop logical and physical data models that support BI tools, ensuring alignment with business needs and data governance best practices.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.
• Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure the quality, consistency, and security of data across all BI systems.
• Performance Tuning: Ensure the BI environment is optimized for speed and performance, troubleshooting and resolving any data-related issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging BI trends, tools, and technologies, and continuously improve BI solutions and processes.
• Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive documentation for BI architecture, solutions, and processes. Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Masters degree or certifications in BI or Data Analytics is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in BI architecture, data analytics, and related fields.
• Proven experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.
• Strong experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Experience with SQL, database design, and advanced data manipulation.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in SQL, ETL processes, and data transformation.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery).
• Experience with BI reporting and dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
• Experience with data modeling tools and practices (e.g., Kimball, Inmon).
• Knowledge of data integration techniques (API-based, batch processing).
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and privacy policies.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong project management skills with experience delivering BI projects on time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Experience with machine learning, advanced analytics, or AI-based BI tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
