Oracle PLSQL Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects (tables, views, packages) within an Oracle database.
• Develop efficient and scalable Core Java business logic and integrate it with Oracle databases using JDBC.
• Create and maintain Unix Shell Scripts for processing files (renaming, unzipping, extracting data, cleaning up files) before loading them into base tables.
• Work closely with front-end teams to provide necessary data insights and support their needs through stored procedures and SQL queries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform continuous enhancements, and ensure the stability and performance of applications.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to improve application performance and minimize database overhead.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for database schemas, stored procedures, and scripts.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience in developing and optimizing PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Expertise in advanced PL/SQL features such as dynamic SQL, records, and object types.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, particularly in developing business logic and backend functionalities.
• Experience with JDBC for database connectivity.
• Solid understanding of Unix Shell scripting to automate repetitive tasks, process files, and manage data workflows.
• Experience using Oracle-based tools like Toad, PL/SQL Developer, and SQL*Plus for database development and query optimization.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal disruption to operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical insights.
