Software Engineer - Full Stack Development (5-12 yrs)

Summary :

The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using React on the frontend and Node.js with PostgreSQL on the backend.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.

- Work closely with the Cloud Ops team to ensure seamless deployment and management of applications in a cloud environment.

- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure efficient and reliable application delivery.

- Implement best practices for software development, including using design patterns, documentation, and version control systems.

- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to front-end and back-end development, cloud computing, and software engineering.

- Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.

- Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs.

- Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications, implement system software, and customize to client requirements.

- Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans.

- Code new programs to client's specifications and create test data for testing.

- Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.

- Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.

- Provide quality assurance reviews.

- Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.

- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including agile methodologies, unit testing, and code reviews.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Technical Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer.

- Extensive experience with React for frontend development, including component-based architecture and state management.

- Proficiency in Node.js and server-side frameworks for building scalable and secure backend systems.

- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

- Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly in relation to deployment and operations.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes is a plus.

- Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.

- Experience in programming and problem diagnosis and resolution.

- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

- Large systems software design and development experience.
