As an HR Fellow, you will be thrown into the deep-end with responsibilities to play a crucial role in shaping our workforce and building a thriving workplace culture. Your responsibilities will span across recruitment, employee engagement, legal compliance, and HR operations, all tailored to the unique needs of a bootstrapped startup in the Ad-Tech and Gaming industries. This role also requires a flair for content writing to create clear and impactful documentation, from employee handbooks to internal communication materials.
Working directly with the founding team, you will lead the efforts to attract top talent for technical and marketing roles, ensure seamless HR operations, and foster a positive, growth-oriented work environment. Where Your Expertise is Needed
1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technical (e.g., software developers, SaaS product managers) and marketing roles.
Collaborate with the founders to identify skill gaps and create a hiring roadmap.
Source, evaluate, and onboard candidates using modern recruitment tools and strategies.
2. Employee Engagement and Retention:
Design and implement employee engagement programs to foster motivation and satisfaction.
Plan team-building activities and initiatives that align with our company culture.
Conduct employee feedback sessions and performance evaluations to support career development.
3. Content Writing and Documentation:
Draft job descriptions, HR policies, and employee handbooks.
Prepare clear, concise communication materials for internal use and external outreach.
Create training materials and documentation for onboarding and learning programs.
4. Legal Compliance and Administration:
Manage employee contracts, payroll, and benefits in compliance with labor laws.
Ensure adherence to legal formalities, including tax deductions (TDS), provident fund (PF), and gratuity.
Handle administrative tasks like maintaining records, coordinating with legal and accounting teams, and organizing office facilities.
5. Strategic HR Planning:
Identify and address skill gaps, aligning hiring strategies with the startup s growth goals.
Develop and maintain transparent processes for financial and operational HR activities.
Support founders in scaling the HR function as the company grows.
Who We Are Looking For
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
Additional certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) are a bonus.
Skills and Expertise:
0-2 years of experience in HR, preferably in a startup or tech environment, eagerness & willingness to work with an early-stage startup.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for content writing.
Proficiency in recruitment tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and HR management systems like BambooHR or Zoho People.
Strong understanding of legal and compliance requirements related to employee management in India.
Familiarity with tools like Discord, Trello, and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and project management.
