Senior Software Engineer - .Net/React.js (8-15 yrs)

Job Description :

- Liberis is the world's leading embedded finance platform, using machine learning to fund small businesses in 13 countries. We are the exclusive lending partner for eBay, Worldpay, Barclaycard, and many others.

- Liberis' high tech platform allows merchants to get funding approved and sent to a merchants bank account within minutes.

- The tech stack is primarily C# (pronounced C-Sharp), Dot Net, TypeScript, React, NextJS, Kafka. However, we accept engineering candidates from a range of other language backgrounds if they show transferrable skills and are willing to put in the effort to learn our stack upon joining.

- Liberis is a scale up, and so candidates can expect to work directly with company executives, as well as senior representatives from our partner organisations.

- The work will involve regular all expenses paid travel to London and other international destinations.

- Liberis practices Test Driven Development, Pair and Mob Programming, Continuous Integration, and a number of Extreme Programming practices.

- Liberis is a product company and a scaleup, and so has a generous salary banding. People who spend time working at Liberis will have higher salaries relative to other companies in the market.

- Since Liberis is still in the process of getting an Indian company registration, initially employees will be working for Blenheim Chalcot, but Liberis is working to register an Indian company - at which point they will take the full employment.

Who are you? (The role) :

- You are an expert programmer, with multiple years of experience in environments like ours.

- You are comfortable working in the early stages of defining and solving business problems.

- You value collaboration and responding to change over negotiation and rigidly following a plan.

- You might be a specialist in one area of our tech stack (mostly C# .net, Node, React, Azure) but you're willing to learn and get stuck in anywhere.

- While we expect all of our engineers to work across our tech stack, for this role we are specifically looking for someone with experience building data heavy products e.g. ETL pipelines, event streamlining, or data mesh approaches.

- You know how to contribute to a high performing team. You always optimise for team performance over individual performance.

Responsibilities :

- Use continuous delivery practices to deliver high-quality software and value to end users as early as possible

- Work in collaborative, customer obsessed teams to build fantastic experiences for internal and external users

- Contribute to our distributed, global architecture while defending our quality and performance requirements.

- Build and run software, exemplifying DevOps culture.

- Take part in our entire software lifecycle, from ideation, to building, to maintenance, to collecting feedback and improving.

- Mentor junior engineers

We think you'll need :

- Professional experience writing code in two or more programming languages.

- A willingness to learn our tech stack - mostly C# .net, Node, React.

- An understanding of working with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming, Kanban, or Scrum.

- Experience mentoring more junior team members.

- Multiple years of experience in an environment that is in some way similar to ours.

- Resilience in early stage business situations, where requirements are evolving and experimentation is required.

- Experience building data heavy products e.g. ETL pipelines, event streamlining, or data mesh approaches.

- Bonus points if you have experience of cloud technologies (we mostly use Azure); experience using highly collaborative methods such as ensemble, mob, or pair programming; experience writing financial software; or experience with Test Driven Development.
