Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Purpose:

Audits role, as the third line of defence, is to assist the Board Audit Committee in discharging its responsibilities by providing independent and objective assurance to the Group’s compliance with, and effectiveness of its internal control systems.​

​The purpose of this role is to deliver the data engineering requirements of Internal Audit on the Enterprise Data and Analytics platforms (legacy and cloud) in support of delivering data assets in line with the Internal Audit Plan delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support Audit Data Analytics resources in the end-to-end data delivery for dashboards and analytics.
• Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the design of the outcomes.
• Work with Data Engineer Manager to prioritise and execute backlog.
• Deliver on the development, testing and maintenance of data pipelines to deliver scalable and sustainable data assets for Audit.
• Clearly communicate and present ideas, challenges and outcomes to stakeholders

Experience

• 3+ years in data engineering
• Experience operating on cloud services (AWS preferred)

Qualification Requirements

Tertiary qualification in relevant field preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, applied Mathematics))
