ABOUT THE ROLE
- Execute consumer programs and deploy brand assets in-market to ensure effective activations, aligned with Customer Marketing.
- Support the in-market execution of the brand's annual operating plans, collaborating with Sales, Trade Marketing, Advocacy, Commercial teams, and external partners/agencies.
- Execute brand partnerships, sponsorships, and experiential programming across multiple channels and agencies, working closely with local sales and trade marketing teams.
- Conduct monthly brand performance analysis and work towards achieving market targets in terms of revenue, profitability, share, and brand equity.
- Implement marketing plans, including activations for the assigned portfolio, targeting key consumer cohorts and occasions to recruit more consumers.
- Collaborate with internal communication teams and creative agencies to develop engaging content and innovative marketing/branding solutions.
- Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute targeted plans aimed at winning in the market and consistently evaluate their performance to make necessary adjustments.
- Create compelling consumer activation programs and toolkits for the sales team to deploy for their respective brands.
- Execute trade programs with Trade Marketing to drive awareness, trials, and brand positioning.
- Regularly monitor the market and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges, including daily tracking and reporting of market and competitor developments such as new launches, pricing, consumer promotions, and in-store communication.
- Track marketing spends with a focus on measurable ROI.
SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Experience
- MBA or Graduate from premier college in India with 3 to 6 years of work experience
- Preferable experience in FMCG/ FMCD industry in a marketing role. Prior sales/ management trainee stints would be a bonus.
2. Functional skills
- You should understand various levels of business & their interlinkages and make commercially profitable business decisions to drive business growth.
- As a marketing manager, you must establish as highly skilled communicators with strong execution capabilities ensuring all marketing initiatives are delivered on time. He/she will be required to be extremely resourceful and have a solution-oriented mindset.
3. Technical skills
- You should have a structured thinking process in identifying solutions. Ability to gather, interpret & evaluate data to identify patterns, trends & insights. Can suggest solutions based on data analysis to solve business problems.
- Proficient in MS Powerpoint and Excel, ability to navigate datasets and derive insights
- He/she will also be expected to have an analytical mindset and should be able to derive key actionable insights through rigorous data analysis on MS Excel.
4. Soft skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding aptitude for time management, ability to multitask and work with agility.
- Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders both internal and external.
- Willingness and motivation to learn all aspects of business (within and outside marketing).
