Junior Planning / Billing Engineer

Job Summary:
The Billing & Planning Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the financial and operational success of projects. This role involves managing project schedules, cost estimations, billing processes, and overall planning to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the required quality standards.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Planning Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using software tools like Primavera or MS Project.
2. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to prepare project plans.
3. Monitor progress on-site and update schedules regularly to reflect actual work completed.
4. Identify and report potential project delays and develop strategies to mitigate them.
5. Ensure resource allocation and material planning align with project timelines.

Billing Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) and invoices for work completed.
2. Verify quantities and costs submitted by subcontractors and vendors.
3. Ensure accurate documentation of all financial transactions related to the project.
4. Coordinate with accounts and finance teams for timely approval and payment.
5. Address discrepancies in bills or invoices and resolve disputes promptly.

Cost Control and Reporting:

1. Track project expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
2. Prepare periodic financial and progress reports for internal and client use.
3. Monitor variations and prepare cost analysis for any changes in project scope.

Site Coordination:

1. Conduct site visits to ensure adherence to schedules and accurate measurement of work completed.
2. Work closely with the site team to ensure proper documentation of materials and labor usage.
3. Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams regarding billing, schedules, and progress.
4. Provide regular updates and reports to management and clients.
