Educational Qualifications: LLB or LLM from recognized university. Age: Not exceeding 50 years.
Experience: 5 years in the Legal Department (Preferably in a Multi-state Co-operative Banks/ any other Banks/financial Institutions). Should have headed Legal Department or managed a team.
Job Responsibilities: i. Co-ordinate/liaison with panel advocates/ counsels/ attorneys/ government authorities /courts on all litigation/labour disputes/recovery suits across the Bank. ii. Providing legal support in matters related to legal vetting of documents. Ensuring all legal notices are dealt with appropriately. iii. Hands on experience in handling court matters, draft replies to notices/letters etc. both on behalf of the Bank or received by us. Conducting criminal and civil litigations. iv. Support other departments in legal compliances & counsel legal matters. v. Providing sound legal advice and recommendations to aid the Board, CEO and the senior management team with the decision making process in order to protect the legal interest of the Bank.
Key Skills: i. Good understanding of legal frameworks. ii. Ability to interpret statutes, case laws, regulatory guidelines. iii. Excellent drafting and effective negotiation skills. iv. Advanced Communication skills (written and verbal).
