Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Developer - IBM BPM(BAW) and Java
Years of Experience: 6 years
Location: India, Bangalore

Role Overview:

Responsible for the technical design and development for complex workflow solutions. Serves as a technical expert on solutions developed on IBM BPM(BAW), ECM, and Java. This role requires broad and deep technical knowledge in IBM BPM(BAW), ECM, JAVA, and banking and insurance processes.

This is a customer-facing role, working closely with the Project Lead, Project Manager, Scrum Master, Scrum Team members, Product Managers, and other business and technical stakeholders to maintain alignment with project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Highly motivated, disciplined, and self-directed with a commitment to excellence.
Engage with clients, prospects, and business partners to understand workflows and client needs, and transform those requirements into automated business processes.
Facilitate process design sessions.
Analyze business processes and document the current and recommended future states.
Work closely with business and technology partners to ensure a clear translation from business to systems requirements.
Experience working in an agile practice as part of a multi-disciplinary team is mandatory.

Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in designing and developing complex IBM BPM, ECM, and Java-based solutions.
Strong understanding of Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Design principles, and development methodologies.
Experience in delivering solutions within the Insurance domain is preferred.
Ability to work with multiple project delivery teams across business units and external clients.
Experience with the full software development life cycle.
Strong experience in Java/J2EE technologies and Spring Boot framework.
Knowledge of HTML, JQuery, CSS, JavaScript, and UI frameworks.
Strong knowledge of SQL and Databases (DB2/PostgreSQL/Oracle).
Solid experience with Spring Hibernate frameworks.
Experience in developing SOAP REST services in Java.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Knowledge of common browser developer tools and performance tuning techniques.
Experience with Java Build Systems and tools like Maven, Gradle, Ant, etc.
Expert knowledge of source control software such as Git, SVN, etc.
Experience in building high-availability, multi-threaded Java applications.
Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, SONAR, etc., is a plus.
Understanding of reporting tools like QlikView, Power BI is a plus.
Knowledge of JBPM tools is a plus.
Hands-on experience with BAW version 19.0.0.3 is a plus.
Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL database technologies.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.

Additional Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test process automation in IBM BPM(BAW) and Java to meet complex business requirements.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and users to analyze business requirements and define the technical project scope for BPM implementations.
Decompose requirements into stories and tasks for agile development.
Create technical specifications, test execution plans, and test cases covering end-to-end functionality.
Hands-on experience with business process improvement or business process re-engineering projects.
Apply Agile methodology in project execution.
Facilitate project planning, manage dependencies, and mitigate technical risks.
Lead client calls and communications to address technical requirements.
Compile technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports on quality issues.
Document standard project documents and estimate project effort and timelines.
Provide analysis and resolutions for production issues within the stipulated time.
