Baseel Partners, a global organisation delivering the latest technology solutions to its client portfolio. Baseel is looking for practice leaders to lead their Data Engineering and solution architecture team in Google Cloud.

• As Google Cloud Solution Architect / Data Engineer, you will be the senior technical individual on the project working alongside other architects, engineers and Business Analysts to get the best from the team. You will be responsible for shaping solution designs whilst following a structured methodology appropriate to the project. The role requires a hands-on contributor as well as providing technical leadership and support to the team in order to manage and deliver successful solutions. It also requires a person who is able to take a high-level conceptual view of architecture and drill down to produce logical and technical views mapped to strategic outcomes/benefits that can then drive an overall programme delivery plan
• You will be performing discovery workshops with Customers, understanding as-is architecture as well as the proposed end-state and mapping this to functional and non-functional requirements, to build an overall architecture/delivery plan.
• Working closely with senior business and technology leaders to shape the vision, and being seen as the go-to point for that technology vision
• You will be performing design and helping deliver complex cross-domain solutions encompassing a rich variety of technologies and using a mixture of agile and planned methods.
• In this delivery phase, you will coordinate teams of Engineers and DevOps Consultants through the build of platforms and products using the latest tools, technologies and frameworks to help our clients in their digital journey
• Architecting applications and on-prem Apps Migration to Google Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge and corporate hands-on experience with configuration and implementation of IaaS/PaaS infrastructure as code on the public cloud.
• Cloud Google Cloud background on hosted cloud deployments
• Work with customer technical authorities to ensure they have a clear understanding of architecture and design proposals Experience across software design, infrastructure, delivery methods and engineering approaches Demonstrable experience driving solution thinking for complex bids and delivery engagements Senior stakeholder engagement - Confident in presenting at technical boards to senior members of staff
• Extensive experience in designing and reviewing security architectures/ database and application designs
• Knowledge of designing Micro-service based solutions with auto-scaling, loosely coupled, secure & resilience services on Google Cloud.
• Experience in working with APIs, Proven track record creating solutions that utilise cloud-native tools
• Experience working closely with the DevOps team
• Ability to create DLD and LLD

• Practice development experience including responding to RFPs and Proposals
• Experience in managing IT Risks
• Strong change and project management skills
• The detail-orientated approach needed to recommend and implement strategic improvements
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion
• Lead and contribute to awareness training and campaigns
• Collaborate with IT Support, IT Shared Services and IT Architecture & Strategy teams to ensure systems, applications and networks are secure by design.
• Experience facing a range of stakeholders with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• You should be adaptable, and able to work across teams, functions and applications; you should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer-focused.
• Pre-Sales opportunities (RFI/RFP), Statement of Works and High-Level Designs, where required
• Pre- Sales calls to qualify the customer requirements and produce statements of work.
• Assist in the creation of design standards, policies, and processes to improve working efficiencies by use of Reference Architecture standards and templates

Required Candidate profile

• You must be Certified in at least one of the following certifications (Please do not apply if you are not certified

• Professional Cloud Developer Certification
• Professional Cloud Database Engineer Certification
• Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer Certification
• Professional Cloud Network Engineer Certification
• Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification
• Professional Data Engineer Certification
• Professional Machine Learning Engineer Certification
• You must have good understanding of VMWARE, Data and AI
• Must have at least 15-20 years of experience in Information and Technical Security
• At least 10 years of experience in data engineering Solution Architecture and significant experience in Google Cloud
• Must be very strong in written and oral communication in English
• Must be very strong in MS office
