Graduate Engineer Trainee

A "GET" (Graduate Engineer Trainee) typically involves assisting experienced engineers in various aspects of a project, manufacturing process, learning company processes, and developing technical skills by participating in a structured training program, all while completing tasks like design calculations, data analysis, report writing, and supporting production processes within their engineering discipline.

Role & responsibilities

Project Support:

Assisting senior engineers in project planning, design, development, and execution by performing calculations, reading diagrams, and gathering data.

Technical Training:

Participating in company-provided training programs to gain knowledge of specific engineering principles, software applications, and industry standards.

Data Analysis:

Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting engineering data to identify trends and inform decision-making.

Design and Documentation:

Reading basic designs, drafting technical drawings, and documenting project details in reports and presentations.

Production Support:

Assisting in manufacturing processes by monitoring equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality control.

Testing:

Contributing to research projects by conducting literature reviews, testing prototypes, and evaluating new technologies.

Collaboration:

Working closely with cross-functional teams across different departments to ensure project success.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and analytical skills
• Proficiency in engineering software (CAD, analysis tools)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
