Network Services is responsible for designing, building, and operating Bank of America s global data network and managing our technology partnerships to maximize our strategic business value.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to derive meaningful insights.
- Review Data Collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Data requirement gathering.
- Interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filter and "clean" data sets by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct data quality problems.
- Work with Management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct research, analysis and recommend solution on data quality problems.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical solution.
Requirements*:
- Education : Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science or in related fields
Certifications if any - NA
Experience Range*: 9+ yrs
Foundational Skills
- Understanding of data privacy and security standards
- Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
- Understanding of Data Movement between Source and Target applications and perform data quality checks to maintain the data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Understanding requirements directly from stakeholders and writing code to extract relevant data and produce report.
- Proficiency in using data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, Tableau
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Project management skills
- Knowledge in machine learning techniques and algorithms
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) is a plus
