Experienced Content Management Specialist with a minimum of 6-8 years of work experience in creating new content, familiar with knowledge management functions, handling various technical publication and documentation activities using publishing tools, MS Office, and Adobe products.
Responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining comprehensive and well-structured documentation for Barry-Wehmiller machinery/products, services, and processes.
Able to translate complete technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content, tailored to a wide range of audiences, including customers, internal team, and for training purposes.
A certified technical writer with good exposure to the industrial machinery domain and the expertise to follow writing standards according to the divisions needs.
Exposure to the Printing/Packaging industry and terminologies would be an added advantage.
Skills
Ability to understand machine functions and technical content to comprehend engineering drawings, technical specifications, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or software systems relevant to the equipment, operator interface, and controls,
Familiar with industry standards and guidelines for technical documentation. Example
Proficiency in using documentation tools like Madcap Flare, RoboHelp, Adobe Frame Maker (including XML driven) Google Docs, Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of graphic editing tools like Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop for incorporating diagrams/images.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) for version control and collaboration.
Knowledge of agile methodologies is desirable.
Knowledge of creating Books/Manuals/Templates/Master is required.
Knowledge of the best practices used in the publishing industry would be a plus.
Familiarity with CAD tools is an advantage.
