General Manager / Deputy General Manager- Costing

Job Description
Responsible for estimating and managing project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget. This role
involves analyzing cost data, preparing cost estimates, and implementing cost control measures to maximize
profitability and efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develop Cost Estimates:
- Create detailed cost estimates for projects based on specifications and requirements.
- Analyze cost data and market trends to provide accurate and reliable estimates.
2. Cost Control:
- Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to stay within budget.
- Prepare and present cost reports and forecasts to project managers and stakeholders.
3. Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, quality, manufacturing, marketing, and suppliers.
- Coordinate project activities with various departments to ensure cost-effective solutions.
4. Risk Management:
- Assess financial risks associated with project decisions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Validate contractor and supplier invoices against contract terms and project deliverables.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct post-project audits to evaluate cost management effectiveness.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis reviews.

Mandatory Requisites:
• Ability to work out the quantities and prepare a BOQ basis drawings / site survey as per requirements from
projects team (Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel)
• Coordination with PQS consultant and following up for cost to complete and other reports at regular intervals as
per agreed with the consultant
• Providing value engineering insights to optimize project costs and suggest the same to the design team
