DB Engineer

Position: Database Engineer
Experience: 3-4 Years

Key Responsibilities:

1. Database Architecture: Assist in understanding and maintaining database architecture to ensure scalability and reliability.
2. Database Monitoring: Monitor database performance, availability, and health to prevent downtime and identify potential issues.
3. Query Review: Analyze and optimize SQL queries to enhance performance and reduce resource consumption.
4. Database/Table Modeling: Design and implement efficient database schemas and table structures to support business needs.
5. Backup & Restore: Implement, test, and maintain backup and restore mechanisms to ensure data safety and disaster recovery readiness.
6. Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks by fine-tuning database configurations and queries.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SQL and database management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance tuning best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of indexing, partitioning, and normalization concepts.
• Exposure to cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
