Automation Engineer

As part of an on-going partnership with a leading financial organization,

Test Perform are looking to hire an experience Test Automation Engineer with experience of working in a CI/CD environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across some high-profile projects in a highly technical environment.

• Perform automation testing

• Confirm the testing requirements and what tests are needed to prove business/project goals have been reached.

• At sprint planning, sign off that all work in the sprint is testable and that a plan exists for setting those test cases up

• During the sprint, help the testing team support dev activity

• Co-ordinate and write new automated test cases

• Ensure that test cases written by the testing team meet quality standards

• After the sprint, guiding exploratory testing on the resulting deployable increment

• Update test reporting on test status for the product

• Supporting testing activity in higher environments (SIT, UAT and a variety of Pre-Prod areas)

SKILLS

• Strong understanding of test automation and how it fits into a Bamboo/jenkins build. Expert in setting up data for Test automation, running system components and extracting and testing results.

• Strong experience working in CI/CD environment and managing the output. Working knowledge of Gherkins, bamboo/Jenkins, GIT repo etc

• Understands difference between Product-centric testing and Project-centric testing. Ability to exhibit that operational system meets requirements and being able to demonstrate that to the PM and POs.

• A seasoned Quality Engineer who understands all the different types of testing, when they re applicable, what s needed for each type, and knows what sorts of tests to execute in each activity.

• Working knowledge of BDD with Cucumber and ruby scripting with Watir Web driver and test management tools like ALM, JIRA. Device Automation using Appium

• A flexible team player who understands Agile testing principles and contribute towards Quality, and even more, is willing to speak out and suggest different testing approaches

• Strong experience working in Agile environment participating in sprint planning. Finalising goals the team working towards.
