About the Role:
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Scale to lead the expansion of our organization's impact across India.
- This critical role will play a pivotal part in achieving our ambitious growth targets by establishing a strong foundation for sustainable and impactful operations in new regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Expansion:
- Lead the identification and evaluation of new states and locations for establishing new centers, considering factors such as demographic data, needs assessment, and market potential.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive expansion strategy, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Oversee the establishment of at least two new centers, one in the north and one in the east of India.
Partnership Development:
- Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with aligned organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with organizational goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in target regions.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure consistency and quality in the implementation of programs and services across all locations.
- Develop and implement robust operational systems and processes to support efficient and effective scaling.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance in new locations, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of field staff, ensuring their capacity to deliver high-quality programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
Resource Mobilization:
- Explore and pursue funding opportunities to support the expansion efforts.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals to potential funders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline
Experience:
- 18+ years of progressive administrative experience with a proven track record of success.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Proven experience in scaling operations, preferably (not mandatory) in the non-profit or social sector.
Skills:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Exceptional strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Financial Management: Basic understanding of financial management principles and budgeting.
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform decision-making.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel extensively within India.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in diverse and challenging environments.
