As an Unreal Generalist at Atomic Arts, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, interactive experiences using Unreal Engine. Your expertise in Unreal Engine and strong artistic abilities will be crucial in designing and implementing various elements, including environments, characters, animations, gameplay mechanics, and special effects. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including artists, designers, and programmers, to bring our creative vision to life.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Design and implement interactive environments, characters, animations, and gameplay mechanics using Unreal Engine.
- Create and integrate assets, textures, and materials to achieve desired visual and technical results.
- Optimize performance and ensure projects run smoothly on target platforms.
- Implement and iterate gameplay features and mechanics, including user interfaces and controls.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest Unreal Engine features, tools, and industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and programmers to ensure seamless integration of assets and systems.
- Participate in project planning and provide technical input and estimations.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes and workflows.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine, including Blueprint scripting and material creation.
- Proven track record in developing interactive environments, characters, animations, and gameplay mechanics using Unreal Engine.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush).
- Solid understanding of game development principles and workflows.
- Possessing exceptional communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize and debug complex systems.
- Having a meticulous eye for detail and a genuine passion for crafting visually stunning and immersive experiences.
- A strong and comprehensive portfolio showcasing your proficiency and experience in Unreal Engine and game development is essential.
