Job Description

- A Site Engineer in Civil Engineering is responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on time, and within budget
- This role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Responsibilities:Project Planning:Participate in project planning and development of construction schedules
- Assist in budget preparation and cost estimation for materials and labor
- Site Management:Supervise and manage construction activities on-site
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and addressing issues as they arise
- Resource Management:Coordinate the allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials
- Maintain inventory and track material usage
- Technical Expertise:Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams
- Resolve technical problems and issues encountered during construction
- Quality Assurance:Perform quality inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards
- Implement quality control processes and corrective actions as necessary
- Documentation:Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and change orders
- Prepare as-built drawings and documentation for project closeout
- Communication:Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors
- Report project status, issues, and updates to stakeholders
- Site Safety:Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all workers adhere to safety guidelines
- Conduct safety inspections and audits regularly
