Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop MEP design solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather relevant data and information for the design process.Coordinate with other design disciplines to ensure integration and compatibility of MEP systems with architectural and structural components.Perform calculations, load analyses, and energy modeling to optimize the performance and efficiency of MEP systems.Select equipment, materials, and components for MEP systems based on project specifications, budget constraints, and technical requirements.Review and evaluate shop drawings, submittals, and contractor proposals to ensure compliance with design documents and project standards.Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors to communicate design concepts and resolve technical issues.Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to MEP design and construction practices.Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and progress reports as needed.
