Account Receivable

Role & responsibilities

1. Accounts Receivable Management:

• Oversee and manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and work closely with the collections team to reduce the DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

2. Credit Control and Risk Management:

• Evaluate and monitor the creditworthiness of customers, ensuring credit limits are within company policies.
• Knowledge of Dunning letter.

3. Cash Flow and Collections:

• Ensure timely collection of payments from clients and reduce the overall receivables backlog.
• Liaise with customers to negotiate payment terms and resolve payment issues.
• Track payments and maintain accurate records of all incoming payments.

4. Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and present regular reports on the status of accounts receivable to senior management.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

5. Team Supervision and Training:

• Manage a team of Accounts Receivable associates, providing guidance, support, and training.
• Conduct performance evaluations and foster a collaborative work environment.

6. Compliance and Audits:

• Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry best practices.
• GST basic Knowledge required. (Like GSTR-1) & Reconciliation.
• 26 AS reconciliation and follow up for certificate.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
2. 7+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within the supply chain or logistics industry.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable processes, and financial reporting.
4. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
