Registrar Paediatrics & Neonatology

As a Senior Specialist in Pediatrics Neurology, you will provide specialized medical care and treatment to pediatric patients with neurological disorders and conditions. You will diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric neurological conditions, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide comprehensive care to enhance the well-being of pediatric patients. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and neurological assessments. Diagnose and treat pediatric patients with various neurological conditions, such as epilepsy, developmental delays, movement disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as EEGs (electroencephalograms), MRIs (magnetic resonance imaging), and genetic tests, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific condition and needs, including medication management, therapeutic interventions, and lifestyle modifications. Monitor and follow up on patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and providing ongoing support and guidance to patients and their families. Collaborate with other medical specialists, therapists, and support staff to provide multidisciplinary care and coordinate treatment plans. Stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric neurology, attending conferences and professional development activities, and conducting research when applicable. Educate patients and their families on the nature of their conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Document patient encounters accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and medical guidelines. Participate in medical education and mentorship activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, when appropriate.
