As the Front End Chapter Lead, you will play a pivotal leadership role in directing and mentoring a team of front-end developers within our digital studio

Your core responsibilities will encompass guiding the technical direction of front-end development projects, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality and innovation

In this leadership capacity, you will identify and assess emerging information technologies for potential integration into the corporate banking domain

Your primary objective will be to provide strategic direction and leadership to multiple development teams, overseeing the development of mission-critical applications and delivering robust technology solutions

Additionally, you will be responsible for effectively managing vendor resources and services, facilitating collaboration, and promoting the sharing of knowledge across various business units to enhance capabilities and disseminate best practices, analytical work packages, and methodologies

Over 10 years of experience in front end development, with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front end frameworks such as React, React Native, Next

Strong code review skills to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards

Exposure to Micro-front-end architecture with knowledge and experience of delivering Web and Native applications

Proven track record of leading front end development teams and delivering successful projects

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions

Excellent decision-making abilities, with the confidence to make critical technical decisions under pressure

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies

Passion for staying updated on the latest technologies and trends in front end development

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of front-end developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation

Define and drive the technical strategy for front-end development, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging technologies

Oversee the execution of front-end development projects from inception to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure compliance with established coding standards and best practices

Collaborate closely with design, UX/UI, and back-end development teams to translate design concepts and functional requirements into exceptional user experiences

Provide mentorship and support to junior developers, aiding in their technical skill development and career advancement within the organization

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development, conducting research and experimentation to continuously improve development processes and capabilities

Act as a technical liaison with clients, providing insights and recommendations on front-end development solutions to meet their business objectives

Provide technical insights into feasibility analysis and execute proof of concepts

Formulate and design software solutions based on business requirements and application roadmap in alignment with architectural direction and standards

Ensure designs are performant, scalable, resilient, and align with appropriate recoverability patterns

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, direction, and training to application development resources

Ensure adherence of all deliverables to appropriate standards and quality levels

Advise in defining project scope and schedule, focusing on regular and timely delivery of value

Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks, leveraging organizational resources, and mentoring team members

Exhibit strong leadership skills, influencing decisions and actions at all levels of the organization

Promote team empowerment, ensuring full engagement and meaningful contribution from each team member, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality

Prepare technical design options; consult with hardware and software technicians on options and strategies

Provide insight and feedback for regular performance reviews and appraisals for developer resources

Participate in gathering technical requirements, including non-functional requirements for projects, systems, or applications

Provide insight and oversight of the integration of vendor tasks, tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables

Identify and address key technology gaps, providing and suggesting appropriate solutions in respective business areas

Review root cause analysis performed by the team for critical issues and publish findings to business stakeholders

Possess a good understanding of modern tech stacks, including programming languages, frameworks, databases, front-end and back-end tools, and API integration

Stay current on new technology, standards, protocols, and tools relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment

Utilize strong communication skills to articulate problems and solutions concisely

Develop a comprehensive knowledge of how areas such as architecture and infrastructure integrate to accomplish business goals

Have a thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Iterative methodology

Operating Environment
o Define and maintain the front end development operating environment, including tools, libraries, and development processes, to optimize productivity and efficiency

o Establish coding standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across front end development projects

o Continuously evaluate and evolve the operating environment to incorporate emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation and efficiency

Frameworks and Boundaries
o Lead the selection and adoption of front end frameworks and technologies, such as React, React Native, Next

o Define architectural patterns and design principles to guide the development of scalable, maintainable, and performant front end solutions

o Establish boundaries and interfaces between front end and back end development teams, facilitating seamless integration and collaboration

Responsibilities
