Job Description
Responsible for buying products that are essential for our company s day-to-day operations. Need to review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Research potential vendors and compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
- Responsible for facilitating project requests through the procurement process and will act as the procurement partner for large dollar and/or complex projects.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Review quality of purchased products.
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Knowledge about IT hardware & worked in IT industry.
Skills and Experience:
- BE/BTech in Computers, Electronics or related field.
- Relevant experience of 10+ years as a Purchasing Officer/ Agent/Executive or similar role in IT industry.
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
- This position requires the individuals to have a working knowledge of technology platforms and solutions across a broad spectrum.
- Hands-on experience with purchasing software/ERP software.
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Negotiation skills.
- Decision-making ability and strong collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet objectives and adhere to deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Networking and Security concepts shall definitely be a plus.
