Job Description

Responsible for buying products that are essential for our company s day-to-day operations. Need to review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Research potential vendors and compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
  • Responsible for facilitating project requests through the procurement process and will act as the procurement partner for large dollar and/or complex projects.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Review quality of purchased products.
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Knowledge about IT hardware & worked in IT industry.
Skills and Experience:
  • BE/BTech in Computers, Electronics or related field.
  • Relevant experience of 10+ years as a Purchasing Officer/ Agent/Executive or similar role in IT industry.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
  • This position requires the individuals to have a working knowledge of technology platforms and solutions across a broad spectrum.
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software/ERP software.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Decision-making ability and strong collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet objectives and adhere to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Networking and Security concepts shall definitely be a plus.
