Experience should be from Scaffolding/Fabrication/Heavy Equipments Industry

Role Objective

To oversee and manage the entire stores, inventory at the manufacturing site. The Manager Stores will ensure timely availability of materials for production, efficient warehouse management, and smooth dispatch of finished goods. The role focuses on optimizing stock levels, minimizing waste, ensuring safe practices, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for checking incoming material as per piece weight calculation (e.g. gross weight v/s per piece weight / count of materials).

2. To get cleared non-moving / slow moving items as per management decision.

3. Responsible for issuing PO to suppliers for authorized items only and keep tracking its on time

4. Oversee the receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of raw materials, BOP, Consumables, spare parts, Job work material and FG items, ensuring materials are always available to meet production and dispatch needs.

5. Implement and maintain systems for real-time tracking of stock levels, stock movements, and stock accuracy across all store categories.

6. Collaborate with production, procurement, and PPC to align inventory levels with production schedules and customer order requirements, preventing stockouts and overstocking.

7. Manage the efficient use of storage space for all materials, ensuring proper arrangement of raw materials and FG items for quick access, safety, and maximum storage capacity.

8. Ensure proper handling, labelling, and storage of finished goods in the FG store, maintaining organized records of FG inventory and ensuring products are ready for dispatch.

9. Work closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely receipt of raw materials, etc. managing any issues related to delays or discrepancies in shipments.

10. Lead and manage the stores team, including storekeepers, warehouse supervisors, material handlers, and dispatch coordinators, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

11. Generate and present reports on inventory levels, stock movements, finished goods, and dispatch performance to senior management for review and decision-making.

12. Responsible for maintaining records of material traceability system as per controlled procedure.

13. In case of absence from duty, he is responsible for assigning his duties to sub-ordinates to ensure effective implementation of his responsibilities.
