Costing Engineer / Asst. Manager

1. Cost Analysis and Estimation:

• Perform day-to-day costing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to

organizational standards.

• Develop detailed cost estimates for new product development, including

material, labor, and overhead costs.

2. New Product Development Costing:

• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to analyze the cost impact

of new designs and modifications.

• Ensure competitive and realistic pricing strategies for new products.

3. Vendor Coordination:

• Work closely with the Vendor Development Manager to source and validate

cost inputs for materials and services.

• Maintain updated vendor rate databases to ensure consistency in costing.

4. Cross-Functional Liaison:

• Engage with department heads (Production, Quality, R&D, Purchase, etc.) to

gather and validate costing inputs.

• Ensure alignment on cost-related matters to streamline decision-making

processes.

5. Cost Optimization and Benchmarking:

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or

performance.

• Benchmark costing strategies against market trends and competitors.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed costing reports, summaries, and cost breakdowns for internal

and external stakeholders.

• Maintain records of historical costing data for reference and trend analysis.
