Asst. Manager - QC

Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Management:

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of quality control processes across various departments, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

2. Process Improvement:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Design and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency, reduce defects, and streamline workflows.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Define quality assurance procedures, standards, and specifications for products or services, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key quality metrics, improvement initiatives, and recommendations.

5. Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving:

• Lead investigations into quality-related issues, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions to address underlying problems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address customer complaints and drive sustainable solutions.

6. Training and Development:

• Provide training and guidance to co-workers on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of quality consciousness by promoting awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

7. Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish quality standards and ensure their adherence to agreed-upon specifications.
• Evaluations to ensure the consistency and reliability of incoming materials.

8. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure the organization's compliance with relevant quality and safety requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Proven track record in quality management and quality assurance, with at least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO & IATF standards).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct effective root cause analyses.
• Exceptional data analysis and reporting skills, proficiency in data visualization tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
• Certifications in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Green Belt) are a plus
• Experience in Foam and Mattress Production is preferred
