Position: Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled professional with expertise in energy trading, accounting, and financial reporting. This role involves managing trade recording, contract reconciliation, financial reporting, and trade settlement processes. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Tally and SAP, with knowledge of the power trading market. Responsibilities include accurate trade recording, preparing daily financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing trade settlements. Strong analytical and communication skills are required to collaborate with traders and risk managers. Attention to detail and knowledge of tax compliance, inventory management.

PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY

Trade Recording: Accurately recording all power trading transactions including service charges.
Contract Management: Reconciling energy contracts against trading activity, ensuring accurate billing and settlement of payments with energy exchanges.
Financial Reporting: Preparing detailed financial reports for trading activities, including P&L statements, trade summaries etc. on daily basis.
Compliance: Adhering to relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls related to energy trading.
Trade Settlement: Managing the settlement process for power trades, including invoice generation and reconciliation with clearing houses.

SKILL SET REQUIRED-

Accounting Expertise:
†Expert knowledge of Tally software and SAP
†Accounting for Sales, Purchase & Vendor Invoices keeping in mind the basic TDS & GST compliances
†Accounting for Bank Transaction + BRS
†Vendor reconciliation
†Know How to book Prepaid, Provisions for Expenses, Accrual sales/ purchase
†Know How of Inventory workings
• Income Tax Compliance.
• MIS Preparation.
• Any other Ad-hoc report preparation.

Energy Market Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of the power trading market, including market dynamics, regulations, and different trading instruments.

Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and interpret financial information to inform trading strategies.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in specialized trading and accounting software, including Tally and SAP.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication to collaborate with traders, bankers, risk managers, and other departments.

Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing complex financial transactions.
