Assistant Manager- Accounts

Role & responsibilities

1. Accounts & Vouching

• Ensure accurate vouching of invoices, payments, and expenses.
• Verify supporting documents for all financial transactions.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes.

2. Taxation & Compliance (TDS & GST)

• Calculate and ensure timely deduction and deposit of TDS.
• Prepare and file TDS returns as per statutory timelines.
• Handle GST compliance, including input tax credit reconciliation and return filing.
• Stay updated on amendments in tax laws and ensure compliance.

3. Audit & Financial Reporting

• Assist in statutory, internal, and tax audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Prepare MIS reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
• Coordinate with auditors and resolve audit queries.

4. Reconciliation & Accounts Payable/Receivable

• Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
• Ensure timely processing of vendor payments and invoice verifications.
• Monitor accounts receivable collections and follow up with clients.

5. Other Financial Operations

• Assist in budgeting and financial planning.
• Implement cost-control measures to improve financial efficiency.
• Work on ERP/accounting software for financial data management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualification: MBA (Finance) or CMA (Cost & Management Accountant).
• Experience: 3+ years in accounts, taxation, and auditing.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and ERP accounting systems.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and audits.
• Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
