• REPORTING TO: -  CLINICAL ADMIN/ JOINT MEDICAL DIRECTOR / UNIT HEAD.
• QUALIFICATION: - B.P.Th /M.P.Th
• EXPERIENCE: - MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -

To ensures that all physiotherapy services are provided in a safe, appropriate, efficient, effective and responsive environment. The head should also promote continuous improvement by all physiotherapy staff as well as consumer participation and family center care.      

JOB DUTIES: -

• To communicate with physicians and surgeons regarding new developments in rehabilitation services.
• To provide professional rehabilitation services when prescribed by physicians and surgeons.
• To assess and recommend therapies beneficial to the patients progress based on the individual patients prognosis.
• To treat patients, using the knowledge, art and skill inherent in the profession of rehabilitation services.
• To provide appropriate and timely progress reports on the patients response to therapy and treatment.
• To instruct and educate staff personnel, patients and patients family members in the procedures and skills necessary to reach the goals of the recommended treatment.
• To provide for staff growth and development, foster relationships within the department and the organization by in-service meetings and continuing education.
• To promote community education by appropriate community outreach programs.
• To provide and control the flow of equipment and supplies necessary for service to the patient in all patient care settings.
• To inform the management about daily patient procedures through the Hospital Information System (HIS) and progress of the department.
• To monitor therapists for their work and timely treatment schedule
• To maintain inventories and requisitions supplies and equipment.
• To process requisitions repairs for equipment and facilities.
• To take active Participation in academics activity

To assist the reporting head in different activities, as and when directed from time to time.
