Job Description
- Lead research efforts aligned with the objectives of the Centre, focusing on land-use changes.
- Analyze data, synthesize insights, and contribute to high-quality research outputs, including reports, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and academic institutions, to translate research into actionable recommendations.
- Represent the Centre in conferences, workshops, and networking events to disseminate research findings.
- A PhD or Master s degree in environmental science, ecology or a related field.
- 5+ years of research experience in conservation, natural resource management, sustainable development, or related domains.
- Proficiency in Hindi/Telugu/Marathi.
- Strong quantitative research skills, with experience in fieldwork, data analysis, and research design.
- A track record of published research in peer-reviewed journals or policy reports.
- Excellent writing and communication skills to engage both academic and non-academic audiences.
- Ability to collaborate across institutions and work in an interdisciplinary research environment.
- Experience working with government agencies or NGOs on policy-relevant research.
- Familiarity with participatory research methods and community-based conservation approaches
