Artificial Intelligence Developer

Role & responsibilities :

1. AI Model Development & Deployment

• Develop AI/ML models for crop yield prediction, disease detection, weather forecasting, and precision farming.
• Implement deep learning and computer vision for automated plant health monitoring using satellite, drone, or IoT sensor data.
• Deploy AI models on cloud platforms or edge devices for real-time decision-making in farms.

2. Data Collection & Processing

• Process large datasets from satellite imagery, IoT sensors, weather stations, soil sensors, and farm equipment.
• Develop pipelines for real-time streaming data from IoT devices used in smart farming.
• Clean, preprocess, and label agricultural datasets for AI training.

3. Algorithm & Framework Utilization

• Use computer vision for pest/disease identification and soil quality analysis.
• Implement predictive analytics to forecast climate patterns, optimize irrigation, and reduce crop waste.
• Apply deep learning, reinforcement learning, and NLP for smart farming solutions.

4. Software Development & Integration

• Build AI-powered dashboards and mobile applications for farmers and agribusinesses.
• Develop AI APIs for seamless integration with farm management software (FMS) and IoT platforms.
• Ensure AI solutions work efficiently in low-connectivity rural areas.

5. AI Ethics & Compliance

• Ensure sustainable AI models that promote water conservation and reduce chemical usage.
• Address bias in AI models that may impact small-scale farmers differently than large agribusinesses.
• Maintain compliance with agricultural regulations and data privacy laws.

6. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Continuously refine AI models with real-time farm data.
• Monitor edge AI implementations on IoT devices to ensure low-latency processing.
• Use feedback loops from farmers and agronomists to improve AI recommendations.

7. Collaboration & Communication

• Work with agronomists, data scientists, GIS experts, and agritech SaaS teams to develop AI-driven solutions.
• Communicate AI model insights to farmers, agribusinesses, and policymakers.
• Provide AI training resources to help farmers and agribusinesses adopt smart farming technologies.
