Executive / Sr. Executive - Slitting

Role & responsibilities:

• Strictly follow the SOP laid down for Slitting machines.
• Responsible for meeting standards relating to productivity and quality on daily basis.

Set up and operates slitting machine to run all types of water soluble grades of specified width.

• Select, clean, install spacers and knives/cutters to specified tolerances.

Install rubber sleeves over spacers to provide gripping surface for rollers and to facilitate movement of material being slit.

• Replacement and placements of rolls on machine.
• Monitoring accuracy of all parameters like guide adjustments, roller tension etc for specified grades. Adjust guides and roller tension.
• Maintain quality of output. Observing slitting & rewinding operations. A hawk eye for eliminating all kinds of defects if any like pinholes, bumps, burrs on edges, any other surface defects.
• Regular - basic maintenance of machines oiling & greasing & cleaning.
• Operating panel to control specific units of equipment.
• Observe the machine and communicate any mechanical or quality issues timely.
• Will ensure the work area is consistently kept in compliance with all housekeeping and safety standards of the company.
• Responsible for proper stacking of rolls according to the norms.
• Filling out and submitting required reports/paperwork daily.
• Data records : Maintain in ERP, check and validate labels for accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned
