Senior Data Scientist - Python/Machine Learning (5-7 yrs)

Job Purpose :

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data science, advanced analytics, and machine learning to develop predictive models, uncover actionable insights, and solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities :

Advanced Data Analysis and Insights :

- Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights.

- Identify trends, patterns, and relationships in data that impact business decisions.

- Design and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and optimize processes.

Predictive and Prescriptive Modeling :

- Develop, implement, and refine machine learning models to forecast trends and inform strategic initiatives.

- Apply advanced statistical techniques and algorithms to solve business problems.

- Deploy predictive models into production environments and monitor performance.

Big Data and Architecture :

- Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable data pipelines and storage solutions.

- Utilize big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar to manage large datasets.

Visualization and Reporting :

- Create advanced, interactive dashboards and data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

- Deliver comprehensive reports that translate technical results into actionable business recommendations.

Event Definition and Tracking :

- Work closely with product and engineering teams to define key data collection requirements.

- Design systems to track and analyze critical application events and user behaviors.

Research and Development :

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

- Experiment with new tools, algorithms, and techniques to continuously improve capabilities.

Collaborative Problem-Solving :

- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and engineering, to identify and solve data-related challenges.

- Provide insights that influence product roadmaps, marketing strategies, and operational improvements.

Data Quality Assurance :

- Implement robust quality assurance protocols to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data-driven solutions.

Training and Mentorship :

- Mentor junior team members and provide training on data science tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience :

- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).

- Expertise in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.

- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating structured data.

- Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or AWS/GCP.

- Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Plotly.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision techniques.
