Job Title: Chief Risk & Compliance Officer
Reports To: MD & CEO
Experience: 15 - 20 years
Qualification: MBA/CA/LLB
- Effectively manage the compliance function, including ensuring policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) with respect to all business activities of the company are in compliance with the regulatory guidelines and are commensurate with the complexity of the operations.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and control of the firm's operational risk framework.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the company's operations.
- Continuous portfolio assessment to suggest policy interventions to keep the risk levels within acceptable range.
- Develop strategy for mitigating risks, controlling revenue leakages & minimizing suspect losses through timely fraud prevention, detection, and investigation.
- Review acquisition of Non-Performing Assets (NPA) by analyzing and interpreting various financial and legal due diligence reports.
- Draft and update compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they reflect current regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all compliance activities, audits, and findings.
- Create a culture of compliance awareness and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies as well as external regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders on compliance activities, issues, and outcomes.
- Coordinate internal audits to assess the effectiveness of compliance programs and internal controls.
- Investigate any compliance breaches or incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Apprise the Board and senior management on regulations, rules and standards and any further developments and ensure communication is sent to all stakeholders for incorporation of relevant guidelines in the policies / SOPs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and other external parties on compliance-related matters.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with regulators and industry peers to stay informed about regulatory developments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or Professional certification in compliance/risk management is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
