Responsibilities:

1. Parts Management:

  • Oversee inventory management of parts and supplies across multiple locations within the area.
  • Ensure parts availability and timely replenishment to meet customer demands and service needs.
  • Coordinate the ordering and distribution of parts to service teams and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, stock levels, and ordering cycles.
  • Monitor and control parts-related costs to optimize budget and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and returns.

2. Service Operations:

  • Manage and coordinate all service-related activities within the assigned area, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of customer issues.
  • Supervise service technicians to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance are performed on time.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as repair turnaround time, customer satisfaction, and service quality.
  • Develop and implement service procedures and best practices to optimize the service workflow.
  • Resolve customer complaints or service-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless service experience.

3. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, train, and develop a team of parts and service professionals, including parts specialists and service technicians.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and set clear performance objectives for team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on delivering exceptional service.
  • Ensure the team follows all safety standards and compliance regulations related to parts handling, servicing, and equipment.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner.

4. Financial & Operational Oversight:

  • Manage the budget for parts inventory, service operations, and labor costs within the assigned area.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within parts and service functions.
  • Monitor service contracts and agreements to ensure compliance and profitability.
  • Provide regular reports on service operations, parts inventory, and performance metrics to senior management.

5. Customer Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling parts or services to existing customers.
  • Proactively engage with customers to identify service needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.

6. Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all service and parts operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ensure team members are trained on and adhere to safety protocols related to parts handling, equipment maintenance, and customer service.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in business, automotive, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in parts and service management or a similar role in a related industry (automotive, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, etc.).
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a service or parts environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, parts logistics, and service operations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with a strong commitment to service excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and parts management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
