Oversee and manage the accounting and financial operations for the Indian entity, including accurate bookkeeping, general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
Lead statutory compliance efforts, working closely with third-party accountants to ensure timely tax filings, VAT submissions, and annual audits are completed accurately and in accordance with Indian regulations.
Direct the preparation and consolidation of financial reports, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent reporting to both the Indian entity and the broader group. Provide actionable financial analysis to support strategic management decisions.
Implement and maintain best practices in internal controls to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations, with a focus on scalability across entities.
Partner with the global finance team to manage treasury operations and optimise cash flow management, ensuring alignment with global financial strategies.
Lead initiatives to standardise financial practices and streamline processes across entities. Drive continuous improvement to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy while supporting scalability.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insights and resolving queries from suppliers, clients, and partners. Build strong relationships across the finance team and wider organisation.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and high performance within the finance function.
Support other financial operations across the group as needed, including participating in special projects, financial due diligence, and data analysis.
Oversee payroll processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including accurate salary calculations and timely filings.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in finance, preferably in a multinational professional services or similar fast-paced environment.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures, with specific experience managing statutory compliance (including VAT, tax filings, and audits) in India.
Experience managing financial operations across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance at a global scale.
Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Chartered Accountancy or a masters degree preferred. Advanced financial qualifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for financial analysis, modelling, and reporting. Experience with accounting software (Xero preferred but not mandatory) and ERP systems is essential.
Familiarity with financial technology solutions and data visualisation tools to enhance global finance functions and enable decision-making at scale.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and support the implementation of change management initiatives. Experience in scaling or restructuring financial operations to support growth is highly valued.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. A track record of building effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
