About the Project:

We are looking for a skilled freelancer to design and develop a Playwright automation framework for testing a ServiceNow application. This framework will need to be robust, scalable, and maintainable. The ideal candidate will have experience with Playwright automation tools and will be able to integrate automatic retry, dynamic waits, and basic reporting with Extent and Allure.

Key Responsibilities:

Framework Development: Design and develop a Playwright-based automation framework specifically for ServiceNow application testing.

Automation Features: Implement automatic retry, dynamic waits, and error handling within the framework to improve test reliability.

Reporting Integration: Integrate basic reporting systems such as Extent and Allure for tracking test results.

Scalability & Maintainability: Ensure that the framework is scalable and maintainable, allowing for easy updates and expansion.

Design Pattern: Follow the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern to ensure clean and modular code.

POC Creation: Develop a proof-of-concept (POC) framework within a 1-week timeframe.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong experience with Playwright for test automation.

Experience with ServiceNow or similar enterprise applications.

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.

Familiarity with Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.

Ability to integrate reporting tools like Extent and Allure.

Knowledge of dynamic waits, retries, and handling flaky tests.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Previous experience building scalable and maintainable test frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Strong understanding of web application testing and automation best practices.

Project Timeline:

Duration: 1 Week (POC development).
