Job Description
Job Purpose
Qualification:
Graduate; 1st division in 10th, 12th and GNM Nursing/BSc Nursing/M.Sc Nursing
Relevant Experience:
15 + years of experience in field of Nursing, ANS is responsible for developing and supervising nursing services of a department or a floor consisting of 2 or more wards/units managed by ward in charges or supervisors
Responsibilities
- Organizes and plans nursing care activities of the department according to hospital policy and service needs.
- Plans staffing pattern and other necessary requirements of the department.
- Compiles and submits nursing statistics to the concerned department
- Conducts and attends to departmental and interdepartmental meeting from time to time.
- Makes regular rounds of the department.
- Sees to the general safety and cleanliness of the department
- Oversees the comforts and needs of the patient and family.
- Receives night report of the department
- Evaluates nature and quantum of care required in each ward.
- Oversees rotation plan for nursing staff within their jurisdiction.
- Plans ward management with the ward in charges.
- Reinforces the principles of good ward management in each ward.
- Supervises proper use of and care of equipment and supplies in the department.
- Obtaining consultant s feedback regarding nursing care and take appropriate corrective measures.
