Role Description :

This is a full-time remote role for a Back End Developer. The Back End Developer will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, object-oriented programming (OOP), and collaborating with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain web applications using Python (primarily backend, potentially with frameworks like Django or Flask) and PHP (Laravel framework).

- Design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas and queries.

- Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange.

- Ensure responsive and cross-browser compatibility.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in both Python and PHP.

- Implement business logic and data processing functionalities.

- Optimize application performance and ensure security.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Identify and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.

- Integrate third party API's into the existing and new applications.

Qualifications :

- Strong knowledge of backend programming languages like Python, PHP

- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB

- Familiarity with web server technologies like Node.js, Apache

- Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

- Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system

- Added advantage if the candidate has experience of data engineering and data modeling techniques.
