Job description

We are seeking a talented Shopify Developer to join our team and help us build, customize, and maintain high-performance Shopify stores. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Shopifys platform, apps, themes, and integrations to create tailored solutions for our e-commerce needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Creating and customizing Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Create custom Shopify apps and integrations using Shopify APIs.
• Troubleshoot and debug any technical issues with existing Shopify stores.
• Ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all Shopify sites.
• Manage and maintain third-party integrations, including payment gateways and shipping systems.
• Conduct regular site audits and implement updates or improvements as needed.
• Stay updated with Shopifys latest features, tools, and trends to implement best practices.
• Maintain/document working knowledge of current infrastructure and recommend future trends.
• Develop, implement, and maintain applications developed around the Shopify/Shopify Plus platform .
• Project handling with proficiency for resolving Issues.
• Integrating the tools with third-party API for smooth operations like inventory management, product tracking, Marketing, sales, payment integration, shipping methods, and taxes in the Shopify platform
• Extending Shopify's functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites and Page speed optimization of Shopify sites

Desired Candidate Profile

• Expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and Shopify Liquid templating language.
• Good communication (Verbal & Written) and interpersonal skills.
• 3+ years of experience in Shopify back-end development
• Any Graduate / Post Graduate is preferred.
• Proactive, Team Player, good coordination and networking capabilities.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, and project teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ownership and initiative.
• Expertise in Shopify theme development and customization
• Expert-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language
• Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections, etc.)
• Ability to manage heavy data and transfer it easily & effectively
• Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques
• An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
• Great attention to detail and be highly organized
• The ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural environment
• Fantastic communication skills and confidence in speaking to people at different seniority levels
