Marketing and Communications Associate

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Communications Associate to manage and curate engaging content for our program initiatives and events. The ideal candidate will excel in developing multimedia content, editing promotional videos, crafting compelling communications, and analysing campaign performance to drive outreach and engagement.

Note: The role will involve a significant focus on field involvement.

Reporting To: Program Head

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

- Curate, manage, and publish engaging content across all social media platforms.

- Develop and implement social media campaigns to promote initiatives, events, and brand awareness.

- Monitor and respond to audience engagement in a timely and professional manner.

Content Development

- Create written and multimedia content for program initiatives, events, and outreach campaigns.

- Design eye-catching graphics and promotional materials for digital and physical platforms.

- Edit and produce promotional videos, testimonials, and event recaps to enhance audience engagement.

Communications

- Draft and distribute internal and external communications, including newsletters, press releases, and announcements.

- Collaborate with program teams to align messaging with organizational goals and initiatives.

- Maintain consistent branding and voice across all communication channels.

Educational Qualifications:

• M.SW., B.S.W, Bachelors in Sociology, Bachelors in Humanities, Bachelors degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing
• software.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and analytics tools.

Key skills and attributes:

• Experience in non-profit or community-focused initiatives.
• Knowledge of SEO and content optimization techniques.
• Photography or videography skills.
