Piping Lead Engineer - Green Hydrogen

POSITION SUMMARY

ANDRITZ is seeking a dynamic Piping Engineer to take care about essential engineering tasks for our green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions.

We are looking for a professional with wealthy experience in product and plant piping engineering. Your deep understanding of designing solutions for petrochemical plants will play a crucial role for the success of our projects. This exciting opportunity is based at Chennai.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define piping classes depending on project standards.
• Create 3D pipe routing outline and detail drawings at product and plant level.
• Provide static and dynamic pipe stress analysis.
• Review and release of designs under consideration of contractual and internal requirements.
• Close collaboration with colleagues in other departments and locations.
• Coordinate the deliverables with other relevant disciplines (layout, automation, civil, etc.)
• Participate in safety evaluations and the preparation of installation procedures.
• Support procurement by preparing information for inquires.
• Optimize and develop new design concepts in collaboration with process engineering and R&D.
• Take the responsibility to coordinate mechanical engineering tasks within projects depending on your experience.

SKILLSET REQUIRED

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in leading piping engineering projects with hydrogen and oxygen pipeline within petrochemical industry or fertilizer industry is essential.
• Knowledge about 3D CAD programs, experience with Aveva E3D is essential.
• Knowledge on Autocad Inventor is an added advantage.
• Knowledge about CAE Tools for static and dynamic piping analysis, experience with Caeser / Rohr2 is an added advantage.
• Knowledge about international codes and norms (ASME, ISO and EN, in particular ASME B31 and EN13480).
• General knowledge of steel and plastic piping materials.
• Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements is

expected.

• Explain design solutions in an engaging manner.
