Job Description

Anant National University is seeking an experienced and dynamic PR Specialist to drive and manage public relations activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media relations, communications, content creation, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on building the university's brand identity and reputation.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs for media stories and ensure alignment with the university's communication goals.
• Stories and Narratives: Curate and develop compelling stories that elevate the university's profile. Work closely with faculty, designers, and creative teams to create PR content.
• Agency Management: Support in managing external PR agencies, ensuring timely delivery of agreed-upon outcomes.
• Media Database: Maintain and update a comprehensive database of editors and journalists across regional, national, and digital media (including podcasts) relevant to the university.
• Performance Metrics: Assist in developing data-driven insights and performance metrics to measure PR effectiveness.
• Media & Event Coordination: Help organize and manage press conferences, media events, and external outreach initiatives.

Required Skills and Expertise:

• Strong understanding of newsroom/editorial operations across Print, TV, and Digital media.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong news sense with the ability to craft effective pitches.
• Proven ability to multitask and work effectively in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Commitment to meeting project deadlines with a high degree of professionalism.
• Experience in writing news articles, features, commentaries, and other journalistic content.
• Strong customer orientation and relationship management skills.

Educational Qualification:

• Masters degree in English, Journalism, or Communications.
