Analytics Saves at Work is looking for a Data Engineer for one of our clients. This role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines while ensuring high performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, PySpark, SQL, and cloud-based data engineering solutions, particularly on GCP and BigQuery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Design and optimize BigQuery-based data models for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand data requirements and optimize data workflows.
• Ensure data governance and security best practices in alignment with banking regulations.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize data processing frameworks.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support AI/ML initiatives (preferred).

Requirements:

• Experience: 4-8 years in data engineering, preferably in the banking domain.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, GCP, and BigQuery.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in retail banking and financial data management.
• Good to Have: Exposure to Machine Learning concepts and AI-driven data processing.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a collaborative environment, and excellent communication.
