Job Description
The Transport Analyst will be directly responsible for Carrier Assignment, MNRs & pick-up, Freight Audit & Payment & having a direct interaction with different key stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, Carriers, Vendors & Buyer community. Will be an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations. They will liaison with Accounts Payable, Accounting, Finance and Merchandising teams with co-works in Bangalore & US. Well versed on strong data analytics backed up with strong visualization techniques.
Key Qualifications:
- Candidate with 3-5 yrs. of experience in Supply Chain with retail background would be an advantage.
- MBA with a focus on Business, Economics, Supply Chain backed up with strong accounting fundamentals.
- Having prior expertise on Transportation & good insights towards freight accounting & logistics background would be an added advantage.
- Ability to work under dynamic environment & proven example of managing ambiguity.
- Exposure toward various modes of transport & in particular being aware of US geography.
- Sound understanding of datasets with good excel skill sets & good exposure towards freight accounting & claims management.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations & alignment towards strong interaction & engagement.
- Excellent knowledge on MS Office tools - Excel, PowerPoint & Word along with strong documentation skills.
Role Description:
As a Transport Analyst, You Will:
- Responsible for the dispatch and problem resolution for Vendor Inbound & Outbound freight.
- Responsible for handling the Transport Operations (Inbound & Outbound) such as freight audit & payment for Omni channel, chargebacks, accruals & month end details along with governing key metrics.
- Drive continuous process improvements through innovations & automations.
- Responsible for reducing the Trans related claims & ensure not to allow the aged claims to be greater than 60 days on both Inbound & Outbound side.
- Be a strong Subject Matter Expert & thereby proactively drive issues to resolution.
- Develop Insights & Analyze on daily dashboards & thereby drive towards optimization of process.
- Able to drive towards problem solving/resolution.
